The Fed stays in "suspended animation," a dangerous escalation in the Middle East, and why the collapse of Spirit Airlines is about to hit your travel budget.
Great commentary on Spirit and implications for both the airline market and consumers. Would be curious what history suggests happens here based on past budget airlines failing. All reminds me of the joke that the best way to become a millionaire is to start as a billionaire and buy an airline!
Especially after Covid, the quality of airlines went down a lot probably due to the cost cutting and they never actually rehired the people they fired during COVID. It’s a huge hassle doing everything and prices are still skyrocketing. Spirit was really stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea with either going bankrupt or getting bought out by the government (which I’m not a big fan of).
Nice article

That is a great way to become a millionaire fast! Seems like airlines are one of the worst businesses out there
